Healthcare Assistant - Thoresby Ward - Mansfield
£16,485 + Special Duty Pay
Full time 37.5 hours

We are seeking highly motivated healthcare assistants to work with us on Thoresby ward.
Thoresby provides a medium secure setting for men who have learned to use challenging ways of behaving in order to cope with routine challenges in life. The ward runs as a therapeutic community and strives to ensure that the men living on the ward are involved in decision making, work alongside staff to establish care and treatment plans and participate in all aspects of running and living in an  in-patient ward.
Many of the men have experienced severe trauma in their lives and staff members need to work to develop a compassionate and sensitive ward culture that helps the men to develop trust.  Our ultimate objective is to help the men to feel safe enough to learn new ways of behaving so that they can move towards community living.
We would like you to be approachable and reliable. You do not need any experience of working with in this area as long as you are willing to learn and can bring some value to team. If you would like to discuss the role please do contact the team.
The role can be quite active and we would therefore require you to be able to cope with the demands of an active post.
