This post is within the Higher Education Qualifications Department - with a main focus of higher education qualification design, development and product management. This includes the BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) and BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) qualifications; LCCI professional qualifications and online learning. The Higher Education Qualifications team is responsible for the strategic oversight of Higher National and LCCI qualifications, including quality assurance, academic development, academic support and subject matter expertise. Moving forward, our ambitions include qualifications which include access to higher education, and level 6 and 7 qualifications.

The Project and Administration Manager will report to the Director, supporting the day to day operations of the Director and the department, and coordinating key work streams to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
You will be highly organised and able to manage your own time effectively.

Managing the day to day operations of the department - including, as examples, staff induction, monitoring of annual leave, budget tracking, meeting schedules and diary management;
Ensuring the application of effective governance processes across all work streams;
Creating, maintaining and monitoring detailed project plans;
Facilitating the creation, maintenance and monitoring of detailed Risk and Issue logs;
Capturing and documenting existing and new business processes;
Creating and distributing appropriate progress reports to the team and wider Pearson Stakeholders;
Lead on the planning and administration of a number of meetings with both internal and external stakeholders;
Support the organisation of planning of events with both internal and external stakeholders;
Manage the Director’s diary;
Experience of working in a complex, matrix organization, and able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage operations to ensure effective working.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent working knowledge of applications such as Excel - Advanced, Word and Power Point;
Able to prioritise workload around a diverse range of products and services;
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, but also a team player;
Creative, strategic, and able to articulate ideas and strategies in a compelling way;
Flexible and willing to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-moving environment; with the ability to cope under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
