The Higher Education Qualifications team is responsible for the strategic oversight of Higher National and LCCI qualifications, including quality assurance, training, academic development, academic support and subject matter expertise. The HEQ Training offer is developed to support our customers, the tutors delivering our qualifications. The HEQ department is an innovative, collaborative and diverse and welcoming team. The department encourages ideas for ways to work more efficiently it and promotes ongoing professional development.

Job Description


Training AdministratorTheTraining Administrator will report to the Training Manager andwill also work closely with our logistics team Training from Pearson, collating information for event set up, managing queries fromboth internal colleagues and external customers; the role will act as key point of contact for training operations.


Key accountabilities


  • Arranging training content, coordinating writers and vetters and organising contracting with the Pearson Assessment Associate Contracting Team
  • Setting, monitoring and reviewing timeframes for production of content, including tracking deliverables from writers and vetters
  • Proofreading content and ensuring timely delivery of materials to events
  • Effectively identifying and managing risks
  • Coordinating the development and delivery of training for writer and vetters
  • Coordinating the periodic review of content
  • Assisting in monitoring and analyzing customer feedback, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes
  • Coordinating the development and delivery of training for trainers or suitable ‘run throughs’ prior to event delivery in subject areas
  • Overseeing the induction process for new trainers/writers
  • Listening to recordings of training sessions, highlighting any areas of concern, identifying points for improvement/action considering Pearson’s regulatory requirements
  • Reporting on the performance of trainers to the HE Training Manager, escalating any risks to delivery
  • Coordinating performance review of trainers and writers, keeping records of performance-related communications for audit purposes whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • Engaging in marketing activities to promote HEQ’s training offer
  • General training-related duties as required

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level 2:2 or above

Essential

  • Previous event coordination experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills – ability to think quickly and resolve issues should they arise
  • Ability to work independently, as well as under supervision
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • A good level of skill in written English and an ability to proofread materials
  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively

Desirable

  • Experience working in a training department
  • Experience working in education
  • Good computer and database skills, ideally Google Drive and Microsoft office packages

Customer engagement skills

Experience of working in a large multinational organisation
