Description

The role will be responsible for the implementation of HR functionality into SSC and Pearson Countries, through new system functionality, content and all logistics for the deployment and go-live of the centres, across multiple Countries. The role holder will be expected to collaborate with teams across the programme to implement the new HR Operating Model as directed by their HR Project Manager.

The role will report to the respective HR Project Manager on an operational basis and be part of the HR Programme team within the HR function and the wider Enabling Programme teams. Key Deliverables

●Assist the Program/Project Manager and the development team members in planning each release

●Ensure that the organization's release controls are documented and well understood by development Teams and Program Support Teams

●Ensure that the architecture and infrastructure on which the application will be deployed are robust and stable

●Ensure that a detailed deployment plan has been documented along with a backout plan should anything go wrong during deployment

●Ensure the product has been correctly and completely integrated across the program

●Validate that the product has been correctly packaged before deployment and ensure that all release controls have been satisfied

●Work alongside the Change, Comms and Training (CCT) Team to release the pre-planned communications about the product to all stakeholders

●In conjunction with HR Project Manager, build and implement against HR deployment plans

●Work with, under direction from the PM, with facilities, systems and SI provider to ensure that HR Operations supporting infrastructure is in place and ready for launch

●Drive deployment of Global Template across the HR landscape and into all Countries and SSC’s

●Conduct ongoing assessments of SSC and Country readiness up to launch, toensure the organization is fully ready for go-live in terms of HR data, technology, resources, processes and QRM

●Responsible for execution & delivery of specific deliverables as defined within Project Scope.

●Work with both (global & local implementation teams) throughout all project phases – for example, responsible for test preparation and execution to support & facilitate all test phases incl. scenarios, test scripts, test preparation, data, etc

●Work with local Countries to understand Global Template and new Operating Design and the need for local operating procedures, based upon core deliverables by facilitating Country Specific Workshops such as Process Education, Solution Education

●Support local Countries on identification of training needs, planning and delivery of training and creation of local communication plan, in conjunction with the Change, Comms and Training (CCT) Team

●To report progress, issues and risks and provide line of escalation of local markets through to Project Manager

●Drive adoption through engagement with the Comms/Training team in efforts to train and transition HR services from local HR generalists to HR SSCs

●Work with content team to ensure that all necessary documentation is in place prior to HR SSC deployment

●Deliver new HR employee portal and SSC internal processes testing plan and execution

Essential Skills /Experience

●Experienced Implementation / Deployment Specialist

●Experience delivering a large scale complex change or HR transformation project

●Strong understanding of HR operating models and tiered HR support systems

●A track record of successful project delivery involving numerous stakeholders and delivery teams – IT, facilities, HR/Recruiting, SSC, etc

●Excellent attention to detail

●Demonstrates the ability to effectively assess and resolve complex issues and problems

●Background in HR / IT environments with strong communication, negotiation and Cross cultural working skills

●Global implementation knowledge essential
