North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for an exceptional candidate to join us as HR Information Systems and Resourcing Manager.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for information, resourcing and improvement to join our Trust.


To be successful in this role, you will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience, and must be able to combine recruitment and selection knowledge with highly developed data analysis and processing skills. You will be an experienced user of ESR and you will possess a high level of I.T. skills (e.g. to allow you to manipulate and analyse large data sets). You will also be competent in using and facilitating workforce planning tools



The role will require the successful candidate to work with a wider range of people in other functions across the Trust. The role involves:

•Responsibility for workforce information systems including maintaining data quality and working closely with finance colleagues to maintain establishment control and alignment of finance and workforce systems.

•Responsibility for developing workforce systems to ensure an appropriate infrastructure for meeting the Trusts needs for a range of workforce reports including to the Trust Board, executive team and external stakeholders.

•ESR technical expert and lead responsible for maximising ESR system development.

•Production of accurate and timely workforce information reports (for internal and external use) and using data analysis skills to present workforce information in a way that supports Trust strategy development and informs workforce planning, forecasting and workforce design.

•Responsible for the development of annual workforce plan working collaboratively with finance and operations leads, ensuring the plan is appropriately represented and communicated internally and externally.

•Responsible for the management of the resourcing team and the maintenance and management of relevant systems (i.e. NHS Jobs and Trac Recruitment System).


You’ll need to show us your excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and will have a proven experience in developing accurate workforce information and in using workforce data analysis for problem solving. You will have a focus on improvements and development which you will apply to the workforce information team, resourcing team and workforce systems.
