Job Description

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the Macmillan at Work employer programme providing managers with workplace training, guidance and resources to support staff affected by cancer.    

Reporting to the Working through Cancer Programme Lead, you will be responsible for the commercial development of the Macmillan at Work service, positioning Macmillan as a leader in the field of health and wellbeing advice and support on working with cancer. You will work closely with Macmillan’s marketing team and other relevant internal stakeholders such as our Corporate Partnership teams, to develop and manage a successful marketing and promotion strategy and ensuring maximum reach and impact for the service.

Whether by phone, face to face or in writing, your communication, listening, interpersonal and negotiation skills are exceptional. You will be able to represent Macmillan at external events such as at employer conferences, workshops and in presenting to new employer prospects.  To succeed you will need a strong ability to establish highly effective relationships with senior external stakeholders both within the public and private sectors. Your drive and tenacity will enable you to achieve under pressure, dealing proactively with setbacks and challenges.

You will manage the existing Macmillan at Work team including permanent and casual staff and volunteers and ensure the quality assurance of employer services, so that customers are offered the best possible Macmillan experience. You will have knowledge of the health and wellbeing sector, experience in delivery of learning programmes and an understanding of the challenges faced by both employers and staff in managing sickness absence and supporting return to work planning.
