To be successful in this role you will apply all aspects of your specialism to develop intelligence in the proactive environment and build evidence in reactive operational activity.
Ideally candidates should have completed a fingerprint analysis training course at an initial level, have completed equivalent in-house training and work-based experience in a recognised forensic provider/bureau or hold an alternative forensic practitioner qualification and/or degree. With a sound understanding of working in a forensic or accredited environment, candidates should be supportive of continuous improvement, have good IT skills and be highly motivated and flexible to work on some of the most serious and organised crime affecting the UK.
As an Identification Officer the role is to process biometric data using national collections in accordance with Agency procedure, ISO 17025 standards and FSR Codes; produce accurate reports to support NCA core business and process fingerprint, DNA and demographic data as required in support of other internal business streams, including the maintenance of fingerprint records and related entities assuring rules on data retention and legal provisions are followed.
