We are looking for [two] Independent Committee Members (ICM) to join our Nominations Committee of our Trustee board (our Council of Trustees) and support the organisation in making key decisions on appointment processes and appointments for trustees and our commercial board.
These are new and really important roles at Which?, that will help us to shape the future of our organisation and to achieve our aims. Joining us as a committee member, you will bring your experience of making senior level appointments, and crucially, your involvement in developing inclusion and diversity within organisations, to be part of decision making for these key appointments.
You will bring fresh perspectives, expertise and challenge to the Nominations Committee, promoting diversity of thought, and ensuring rigour within the appointment procedures.
As an Independent Committee Member you will have;
Experience of making senior appointments, ideally through a proven track record within executive search role or appointment on senior selection panels
Experience of developing or delivering interventions that support equality, diversity and inclusivity, in order to deliver strategic aims.
Experience or understanding of the role of Trustee or non-executive roles, and the governance structures that support the positions

About the role:
Term: 2 years
Time commitment : The role requires approx 6 days per year made up of meetings held throughout the year with involvement in any additional selection processes across the Board and Council. Currently, due to COVID-19, all meetings are held virtually.
Remuneration: This role is performed on a voluntary basis, you will, however, be entitled to reasonable out-of-pocket expenses for attending meetings and functions.
