Job Description

As an NCA officer you can make a difference! We are at the forefront of law enforcement in the UK and we look for a wide variety of skills and experience to protect the public. Whatever your role you will have a vital part to play. We are currently looking to recruit a 1 x G3 Information Assurance Manager to join Technology Command.

 

The successful candidate will go on to collaborate with NCA partners to provide assurance that NCA information assets are protected. In addition, you will also manage teams and support Senior Management in delivering information assurance, risk management and data compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HMG accreditation and compliance regime, working knowledge of ISO27001 and HMG Information Standards, as well as experience of analysing information from range of sources.

 

The Technology Command is responsible for NCA’s technology and information estate to enable the agency to lead the UK’s fight against serious and organised crime. In summary we are:

The Chief Data Office (CDO) is based within the Technology Command. CDO develops and implements the vision and methods by which the NCA acquires, governs and manages the quality of its data.

 

The CDO is responsible for information governance and compliance, digital data management, managing information disclosures, delivering information assurance, access to STRAP material compliance, and developing data strategy and capability.

We are currently looking to recruit an Information Assurance Manager in our London site.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

As part of a team of information assurance professionals, you will be using your skills and expertise to:

 

  •  Manage a small team delivering information assurance and accreditation services and support the Senior Manager in running an effective business function.
  • Manage a team responsible for ensuring the accreditation status of all NCA information systems, obtaining assurance infrastructures are managed and maintained, and conducting formal analysis on the acceptable levels of risk.
  • Provide advice and guidance on new systems and capability in relation to information risk management.
  • Liaise and collaborate with NCA partners to provide assurance that the NCA’s information assets are appropriately protected, through the effective monitoring and compliance with HMG Information Assurance standards to enable data sharing amongst partner organisations.
  • Support good information management compliance in the agency.
