Can you provide internal audit services to both management and the Board of Trustees' Audit Committee? This challenging yet rewarding role provides you not only with the chance to make a real difference to the lives of people affected by cancer, but also the opportunity to be involved in a truly innovative and forward thinking organisation during a period of growth.
We have an exciting new strategy, designed to increase our impact, offering and engagement, and we need someone who can grow with us.
Calling upon your creativity, integrity and the ability to work with people at all levels – and leading the relationship with the Audit Committee – this role is a unique opportunity to look across the whole organisation as well as digging deep into specialist areas. Ultimately, it has the potential to be a stepping stone to other exciting opportunities within Macmillan.
Responsible for designing our annual audit plan as well as reporting on each audit, you’ll make recommendations for improvement, evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and processes and recommend changes to improve efficiency, value for money and make sure we are doing the right thing.
A broad business perspective on risks and controls will enable you to plan, organise and manage the internal audit function, a mix of in-house and co-source capability. But you will also utilise strong communication and influencing skills when working with management and when presenting to the Audit Committee.
We need someone who can show how they have been effective working in large-scale and complex organisations, conducting both financial and operational audit assignments that have made a difference.
We commit to actively develop you and offer excellent benefits including a 34.5 week (with an early finish on Friday), private medical insurance, life assurance, pension, generous annual leave, and interest free loans for season ticket and gym membership.
Interviews planned for 23rd, 24th and 25th January.
