Experian Consumer Services (ECS) are the team behind your Experian Free Credit Score, Experian Boost and the advanced Credit Expert product. ECS Technology are part of an agile business unit within Experian that has been through a complete technical and organisational transformation.
You’ll be part of a cross-functional delivery team that includes Product Owners, Developers, Designers and Quality Assurance specialists amongst others. We release new versions of our app once a fortnight, through our fully automated pipeline. We build using Swift, SwiftUI and RxSwift (we can’t wait to use Async/await and Actors). We test with unit, UI and integration tests across everything we do. We take ownership of our microservices.
We’re looking for an iOS Developer to join our growing team.
We need more people who can help us build exciting journeys and features for our customers, as well as helping us keep ECS a great place to work. We hope you might be the one!
At Experian we believe in investing in our people and are committed to supporting your personal development. As such, there are opportunities to informally and formally acquire new skills and experience. We work closely with our Android team, and our designers, so we’re able to collaborate to deliver value to our users. Most importantly, we care about the wellbeing of our people.
Some of our developers have computer science, mathematics or engineering degrees. If you have this, that’s excellent, but don’t worry if you don’t. What we really value is that you have demonstrated an ability to produce real working mobile app products, you’re passionate about software engineering and you have a good grasp of the technologies that you’ve used.
Our tech stack continues to evolve with industry best practice and the latest Apple APIs.
You will need good knowledge of at least:
· An understanding of the iOS platform (Swift) and its app lifecycle
· Experience with iOS testing, from breaking code into unit-testable pieces to automated UI testing
· Comfortable building views in code and via XIBs
· Delivering apps through the Apple App Store
· Working within a team to deliver features collaboratively
You’d be joining a delivery team who use Scrum and would be part of an organisation that focuses on agility at its core. You’ll find it easiest to understand the way we work if you’ve worked using Agile delivery methods in the past, but it’s not mandatory. We also have regular knowledge sharing sessions, hack days, team building days and so much more.
