Hours:  37.5hrs


Job title: IPU Business & Performance Coordinator
The Essex IPU provides care for patients with mental illnesses and personality disorders, admitting male and female patients across 6 wards.  The IPU Business & Performance Coordinator will be working directly to support the IPU Leads, to  and deliver a range of operational and performance activities at site level and support continuous IPU service improvement

Your role with us                                                                   
This role is based at our Essex site and your duties will involve driving, designing and developing IPU improvement projects which are innovative, high quality and provide value for money.  Additionally you will be leading work streams and monitoring progress and act as a catalyst for change to support increased operational performance through the management and evaluation of continuous improvement processes. 
You will assist the IPU Leads in coordinating and analysing referral demand patterns, ensuring timely and appropriate assessments to ensure that patient experience and safety is at the centre of all decision making.  You will also manage the collection and analysis of information relating to service performance, activity and quality; identifying corrective action where appropriate.

Your profile
You will be someone with a proven experience as a Business Manager/Coordinator or similar role, with an ability to analyse data, trends and opportunities for service improvement.  You require excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven experience of managing projects or service changes, with an ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-discipline team.
You will possess strong negotiation skills with a demonstrable experience of influencing staff at all levels. The candidate must be have a proactive approach to work, with an ability to prioritise and delegate a workload from a non-hierarchical position to meet deadlines.
You need to have experience in working in a healthcare settings, knowledge and experience of Healthcare Governance, CQC Standards or a similar role/background.  Experience of patient engagement techniques gained from relevant training or experience is desirable.
