As an experienced IT Systems Delivery Manager you’ll be passionate about planning, continuous improvement, and delivering a truly differentiated data platform that will transform Virgin Money on their journey to Open Banking. You’ll inspire, manage and develop an awesome team of Technical Leads, Solution Leads and Software Engineers. You’ll easily build positive and effective stakeholder relationships across the business. You’ll own relationships with suppliers and commercial partners, forecast and plan capacity for internal, partner and third party resource requirements, and manage Recharge targets.
As IT Service Delivery Manager you’ll help drive Virgin Money’s journey to a common data and analytics platform for the core bank. This platform will utilise strategic tooling to present data to all areas of Virgin Money to derive business insight. The platform will be Cloud based and as such you need strong and demonstrable knowledge of managing data assets, managing deliveries of complex data assets, cloud based analytics, Data Warehousing principles, big data/NoSQL alternatives, and experience of on-premise to Cloud based migrations of critical data assets. You’ll be comfortable presenting, challenging and communicating to a broad range of stakeholders. You’ll take responsibility for the delivery of IT services within your delivery team that allow Virgin Money to track against its IT roadmap.
The successful candidate will be adaptive and flexible with a strong cultural awareness as Virgin Money has built strong and valued relationships with implementation partners with both an onshore and offshore presence. We’re looking for a self-starter who can scan the IT landscape for technology that can help make banking even better.
To be brilliant you’ll need a passion for gaining insight from data (structured or unstructured), whether that be Warehouses, data lake, MI/BI/next gen Analytics.
