Supporting all aspects of standard cost engineering functions, including but not limited to, cost controls, analysis, forecasting, cash flowing, reporting, benchmarking and interactions with teams

Job Description

  • Apply applicable BP Published Processes (Projects Common Process, Turnaround Common Process, Project Services Guidelines) and Practices, and the Site specific Procedures. Support updating CHP current Controls Procedures and development and implementation of new procedures, guidelines, tools and templates
  • Utilize the WBS / CBS to assign costs including management of work orders, monitor and update associated contractor & vendor PO values
  • Utilize the fully integrated schedule and support validation of contractor progress
  • Ensure accurate reporting of WIP - review all charges against TA Units / Projects for consistency and proper assignment, including review of contractors’ invoices for accuracy and adherence with contracts, and manage monthly accruals
  • Support the TA Budget and Additional Work process
  • Provide comprehensive and accurate cost reports, forecasts and cash flows, including appropriate level of analysis to ensure a “no surprise” approach
  • Identify, analyze and respond to opportunities, risks, and uncertainties.
  • Monitor performance against targets to ensure that TA and TA Controls objectives and KPI’s are met.
  • Prepare final cost reports and work with required site resources to complete all closeout deliverables, including lessons learned exercises

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus at least 2 years of relevant cost engineering experience
High School diploma plus at least 6 years of relevant cost engineering experience

Minimum of 2 years of relevant cost engineering experience
At least 2 years of relevant experience within the refining/manufacturing related industries
