Putting users' needs at the heart of their work, we are looking for a Lead Content Designer to take the reins in our Common Customer Experience team and make people's interactions with the government as simple and speedy as possible.
We want you to shine setting strategies that make sure content is joined up and meets our users' holistic needs across multiple, complex, journeys that will benefit some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Duties. Work. Projects.
You'll be working closely with multidisciplinary service teams, senior leaders and other content experts across government to help people find out where to go and what to do to get the financial support they need.
As an expert practitioner with experience of large-scale and complex content projects, you'll be assuring the quality of content design across teams and its alignment to departmental goals.
Using research, data and other evidence, you will translate user needs into content strategy across both digital and non-digital services.
We need you to set the tone. You'll shape your team's content career paths by managing our senior content designers, working closely with our service managers, programme directors and other senior stakeholders to help to resource teams, resolve problems and develop future strategy.
You understand how your work fits into a wider context and you can find solutions to content challenges, no matter how tough.
You will be a recognised expert in Content Design in government and our advocate for best practice. You'll also have chance to lead on cross-government content projects and incorporating your up to date with industry changes knowledge.
