What you will get
Our Occupational Health services was brought in house 2 years ago. You will have the opportunity build on the existing service offering to obtain and demonstrate best value Occupational Health service, ensuring that OH is an integral part of manager and employee support in instances of ill health.
As an expert in your field, you will give advice on all areas of Occupational Health to ensure St Andrew’s remains compliant with legislative, regulatory and contractual requirements. You will be building relationships key stakeholders across the Charity, such as operational leads and HR operations. The service will proactively support the health and wellbeing of over 4000 employees working in a broad range of physically and mentally demanding roles across 4 UK sites.
A proven leader, you will need to be an NMC registered Nurse with appropriate Occupational Health related qualifications and experience. You will also need to be driven to achieve and deliver in this high profile role. You will manage and develop the Occupational Health team and will have previous experience of doing this.
You will need a depth of Occupational Health knowledge to help you deliver services including immunisations, health surveillance, pre-employment screening and sickness absence referrals. You will also ensure that Occupational Health works in true partnership with our specialist internal Trauma support service, HR and Health and Safety departments, employee Physiotherapy provision and our EAP provider, facilitating prompt appropriate access for employees to relevant support.
You will have an understanding and experience of the value of evidence-based decision making and will be able to plan initiatives and services to support employees and the Charity. Being creative with excellent organisational, communication and delivery skills are key to achieving this.
