Learning and Development Administrator
Fixed Term Contract (Until 31 July 2018 - covering secondment)
Can you provide the highly-effective administration support and organisation that underpins the operation of our regional Learning and Development Team? If so, you have a key role to play in helping the team to bring about real changes for people living with cancer.
Due to internal progression an exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the UK Partnership teams within Macmillan to provide support to our regional Learning and Development team.
As the first point of contact for all enquiries regarding educational and development issues, you’ll undertake a range of duties including managing complex diary arrangements, organising local courses, meetings and events, maintaining effective records and generally ensuring everyone and everything is kept up to date.
Keen to work within and make a positive contribution to the team, you will have good communication skills and a demonstrable ability to liaise effectively at all levels, and across our organisation.
The work is important, your duties varied and we need you to be immediately effective within the role, so proven organisation and office administration/secretarial skills are a must. Demonstrably knowledgeable in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and databases, you'll have the ability to effectively multi task, prioritise and hit key deadlines whilst being flexible and calm.
While it's not essential, it would be advantageous if your experience comes from a relevant health service background or from within the education or voluntary sectors.
In return for your enthusiasm and commitment? We commit to actively developing you and our benefits include a 34.5 hour week (with early finish on Fridays), private health insurance, life assurance, pension, childcare vouchers, generous leave, and interest free loans for season ticket and gym membership.
Postholder may be required to travel throughout England to assist with events.
Please submit your application as soon as possible as we reserve the right to change the closing date of our vacancies.
We aim to encourage a culture where people can be themselves and be valued for their strengths so we seek to attract and employ the best people from the widest talent pool, reflecting the diverse nature of our society.
We will support you throughout the recruitment process with any reasonable adjustments required in accordance with the Equality Act. Please contact the Recruitment Team if you require support.
