Volunteers are central to Macmillan’s ambition to reach and improve the lives of everyone affected by cancer.

Job Description

Already working in a volunteer co-ordinator/manager role, you will have experience of co-ordinating services, together with an understanding of Health and Social Care. You will know just how important our volunteers are to us. Essential to everything we do, we are committed to providing the best possible volunteering experience for everyone who gives their time to Macmillan and to developing new volunteering roles that meet the changing needs of the one in three of us who will get cancer.

Reporting to our Engagement & Volunteering Manager you will support the development, delivery and sustainability of volunteering services in line with the community engagement and volunteering operational plan.

You will demonstrate a proven track record of developing and delivering new volunteer led services to a vulnerable client group.  This, coupled with your extensive knowledge of leading on project development or project management of multiple partners and negotiating with key partners to establish, promote and provide services will see you develop a range of volunteer led services which meet the needs of people affected by cancer.

Macmillan is committed to actively developing with you. Your benefits will include private medical insurance, life assurance, pension, childcare vouchers, generous leave, and interest free loans for season ticket and gym membership.

The role is home based and involves daily travel in the normal course of the work and therefore a current valid driver licence is essential. Some evening and out-of-hours work will also be required, and occasional overnight stays.

This role will cover North of Scotland.

Interviews planned for week commencing 11 December.
