Pearson is looking for a Business Systems Analysis Manager to provide leadership and direction to the Master Data Management business analysis team and architect innovative technical solutions in support of business goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate skills in critical thinking, effective communication, project management, and resource management. This individual will be expected to learn and understand the education business and the systems that support it, as well as implement best practices for the team. The right candidate will also be a self-starter who exhibits creativity, hustle, integrity and teamwork. Experience implementing Master Data Management platforms, specifically Oracle’s PDH and CDH, is extremely advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct team of business analysts
  • Provide technical expertise
  • Architect sound, cost effective solutions
  • Conduct and oversee the development of detailed business requirements
  • Ensure high quality business requirements
  • Coordinate and collaborate with business and technical associates
  • Implement process improvements and standards to improve quality and service
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies
  • Accurately estimate the time and effort required to complete a deliverable

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a technical program is preferred
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Experience with PDH (product data hub) or CDH (customer data hub)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities at any given time
  • Detail-oriented and ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Working experience as a Business Systems Analyst
  • Working experience as an IT manager
  • Experience working with a geographically dispersed team

Nice to have:

  • Experience with product modeling
  • Experience with product Information manager (PIM)
