Pearson Education is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, driven, and experienced Software Development Manager with broad technical expertise, Agile practices history, extensive development experience and proven history managing teams of 8 people. The Software Development Manager will manage a team of highly intelligent, productive, and skilled developers driving and contributing to Pearson’s Global API Platform.
The API Management team is responsible for Designing and Operationalizing the Apigee Edge and Microservices strategy. Apigee currently operates at 1,000,000 trx/hour across 5 geographic regions. In addition, this team is responsible for building a central community for Pearson developers, to allow free-flowing exchange of ideas and code. This person will be responsible for managing the delivery of these platforms and being a lead advocate for Pearson developers across the company.
