To help us continually create effective, engaging solutions that provide boundless opportunities for all learners, we’re looking for an experiencedMarket Research Executiveto join our growing Global Research & Insights function. Serving our UK business you will work as part of multidisciplinary and collaborative teams to deliver learner centered solutions based on research and insight. You will have full-service research experience - including survey design - along with solid project management and strong survey programming skills.The business has its own research panel of 2000 teachers who regularly take part in research activities so part of the role will involve coordinating, building and maintaining all aspects of panel communities including recruitment, incentive administration and panel health reporting.

This is a fast-paced business - you must be able to able to respond to quick turnarounds, multi-task and manage the needs of multiple stakeholders. You will have a contagious passion for research - as well as a keen interest in Pearson's mission and business to empower progress through lifelong learning.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with key stakeholders (i.e. Propositions, Marketing, CX/UX teams) to identify research requirements from briefs, focusing on value add
  • Develop research proposals, questionnaires and topic guides and attend fieldwork (where relevant)
  • Script surveys via Explore and other platforms
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within specific budgets
  • Produce report of findings with recommendations and customised presentations, ensuring the ‘so what’ question is always considered
  • Support the management of research community panel health, recruitment and survey response rate optimization
  • Draw on other sources and previous studies as appropriate, and feed this back to the business
  • Work flexibly with colleagues in the Global Insight & Research team to deliver the team’s objectives

To be great at this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Strong understanding of market research methodologies and translating these into actionable insight
  • Research experience in proposition/product/concept development
  • Working knowledge of survey programming (knowledge of Explore survey platform is desirable but not essential as training will be given)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and focus on task completion
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently within the context of the wider Global Research and Insight team
  • Excellent relationship building and relationship management, internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects from end-to-end
  • Confident and effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proactive and assertive with the ambition and energy to drive change
  • Ideally educated to degree level and relevant professional qualifications (i.e. MRS etc)
  • Previous experience of market research with commercial application across strong insight led organisations or agencies
  • Experience of managing online research panels is highly desirable
