Marketing Executive, Higher Education Services

The role

The Marketing Executive for Higher Education Services plays a pivotal role in supporting the Higher Education Services marketing team to meet lead generation targets, execute high impact campaigns to diverse customer groups and play a leading role in raising awareness and generating adoptions for our prized print publishing programme.

This role will support the HE campaign management, product marketing and content team, providing an opportunity for exposure to a range of marketing practices and tools, including marketing automation, project management and the involvement in strategic campaign planning, copywriting, budgeting and campaign performance analysis.

Main responsibilities:

  • Management of full print portfolio marketing programme to generate new adoptions across approx. 55 titles per year
  • Support wider HE marketing campaign activity through effective use of marketing automation
  • Contribute to go-to-market planning, documentation and execution across print, digital and service portfolio, as business needs dictate
  • Provide co-ordination for shared sales and marketing documentation to ensure sales teams are aware of timings of release, and results generated by campaign activity
  • Provide reporting and analysis support for marketing campaign performance, customer data analysis and lead management
  • Manage Pearson Prize programme
  • Create and develop copy bank for nurture messaging and programmes across HE campaign portfolio
  • Collaborate with portfolio team to execute annual workshops, ‘gameplay’ days and campus events
  • Undertake briefings to agencies for marketing collateral to support campaigns, events, promotions and sales activity
  • Keep abreast of HE sector news and spend regular time in the market to support identification of trends, messaging and persona development

Key Accountabilities

● Deliver print portfolio programme to generate marketing qualified leads

● Develop capability for devising campaign journey maps for transition to Pardot to support campaigns across the team

● Produce copy that is clear, engaging and enables messaging to be delivered with impact and clear CTAs

● Develop collaborative and effective working relationships with colleagues across sales, portfolio, marketing, service development, customer experience and sales enablement to ensure clear communication and productive outputs on shared projects.

● Reflect sector knowledge gained from market intelligence in campaign content and in contribution to planning and decision making

● Report on all required metrics and commentary monthly in team report
