About the team


You will be part of the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Marketing team.  We cover the marketing strategy, campaign planning and execution for the region across the three BAE Systems Applied Intelligence business divisions, covering commercial clients and prospects as well as the UK and foreign Governments. The EMEA Marketing team consists of a Marketing Director, five Marketing Managers and a team Marketing Coordinator.  We work closely with a central Marketing team who cover brand, creative, web, social media, PR AR and market insights. 


About the role


Reporting to the EMEA Marketing Director, this position is responsible for developing the UK Services (UKS) marketing strategy and integrated marketing plan across cyber, data and digital services in both Enterprise Services (covering our commercial clients & prospects) and the Government client group. With support from the central Marketing functions, the UKS Marketing Manager is responsible for successfully executing all UKS related campaigns in the EMEA region. You’ll be the primary Marketing interface into the UKS business division, liaising with Sales and business stakeholders to understand priority propositions, target accounts and order intake targets.  You’ll be responsible for developing a comprehensive marketing plan to support UKS lead generation and pipeline contribution. Working closely with the central Marketing & Communications teams, the offerings and Pre-sales teams, and Product Marketing, you  will ensure the effective execution of campaigns always on-brand, on-message and with measurable results. You’ll also hold responsibility for identifying and coordinating synergies across UKS and other business divisions, including joint campaigns, upsell and cross sell opportunities and areas of potential cost savings. This position is well suited to a self-starter who enjoys a fast paced and dynamic environment, and can work autonomously when required.

What you’ll be doing


  • Work with Sales, Pre-sales and the Offerings team to develop a marketing strategy and subsequent integrated marketing plan, to meet marketing influenced pipeline contribution targets.
  • Work with key stakeholders across the business to develop appropriate campaign positioning and messaging for UK Services’ Data, Digital, and Cyber offerings as well as supporting Marketing projects in the Government space.
  • Working closely with central Marketing & Communications teams and the EMEA Marketing Coordinator to execute the UKS marketing plan and achieve pre-defined objectives on budget and on time.
  • Manage the creation of marketing materials and sales tools with relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Assess ad hoc requests from the business for sales tools, collateral, event sponsorship, campaigns, etc. Integrate activities into the UKS plan where justified and reject where not.
  • Devise, write and manage email nurture campaigns in Marketo for relevant campaigns, and work with Sales to ensure the marketing and sales process (utilising the Marketing Automation and CRM tools) is followed and effective.
  • Drive case studies and customer references from the business and manage customer permissions.
  • Working closely with the Communications team to support regional PR relating to UKS.
  • Monitor and report on campaign results ensuring activities are tuned to meet lead and revenue generation targets.


What we’re looking for



  • Previous experience in the creation of deliverable regional marketing plans, preferably within the EMEA region.
  • Knowledge of the fields which Applied Intelligence operates within: Cyber security, Financial Crime, Fraud, Compliance, Data, Digital, etc.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and prioritizing budget demands.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to ‘translate’ technical content into business messaging.
  • A skilled user of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PPT.
