We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join Pearson as the Media Strategy & Planning Manager for the growing University Partnerships team.

This is a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract suited to a senior agency executive looking to move from agency to client side.

You will be responsible for delivering marketing effectiveness by directing marketing strategies and maximizing spend to achieve business goals. As the subject matter expert (SME) for Media, you will be the senior contact for all media partner relationships.

The Media Strategy & Planning Manager will consult and provide strategic advice to the partner Marketing teams. This includes developing communication and media strategies, plans, issue management and campaign strategies. Media performance and continuous optimisation of partner media investment will be key to the role.

By translating data insights into actions and recommendations you will drive brand awareness, lead generation and customer growth. To ensure long-term success, this role will stay on top of the latest trends and technologies for new opportunities. In addition, you will have commercial responsibility for all media contracts, budgets and invoicing.

Qualifications

  • Experience in digital marketing and/or digital agency
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or equivalent discipline
  • Experience with media planning and buying - SEO, PPC, display advertising, social, mobile, content
  • Strong and in-depth analytical skills, excellent with numbers and analysing data to draw key marketing insights
  • Creatively minded with experience in implementing marketing programs that engage, inform and motivate
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with CMS (Drupal, Wordpress), Salesforce CRM & Marketing Cloud, Ad campaign management tools, Data visualisation or BI tools, Google 360 and Doubleclick suite
  • Experience in the Education sector will be highly regarded.
