About the opportunity:

Meridium is the standard IT platform for the Corrosion Management Improvement Program (CMIP) and Global Reliability Improvement Program (G-RIP) and a key enabler for efficient and effective sustainment of CMIP and G-RIP.

We now have an excellent opportunity for a Meridium System Support Specialist, who will provide a combination of technical and business support and coordination for the sustainment of the Meridium platform for the downstream manufacturing sites in support of CMIP and G-RIP.

CMIP is a segment-wide program with an aspiration to achieve zero corrosion-related LOPCs in Downstream manufacturing. G-RIP is a refining-wide program that provides a framework of reliability processes to achieve and sustain Solomon Index Operational Availability performance of 96.4% by 2018 at all bp refineries.

This role will be part of the P&O bp Solutions Transformation and Integration organisation, and report to the Systems and Tools Discipline Manager in the Standardisation Unit. It will preferably be based in the United Kingdom - Sunbury or United States - Houston, but open to some flexibility in location.

In more detail, some of your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Support the integration, standardisation and simplification of Systems and Tools for bpSolutions with a deep focus on customer service
  • Act as the business lead for all Meridium activities related to CMIP
  • Act as the business lead for deployment of Meridium IM/TM modules and other IT tools necessary to support key CMIP workstreams such as RBI, IOW, action tracking and KPI reporting
  • Work with IT&S to resolve defects and performance issues
  • Identify and implement enhancements to deployed Meridium modules and other IT tools for CMIP
  • Drive standardisation of the Meridium integrity modules across refineries
  • Represent Refinery business in software upgrade decisions and support implementation of upgrades
  • Build and lead the Meridium user community to promote sharing of knowledge, experience and best practices across refinery assets
  • Lead capability development in the area of Meridium, including development and delivery of training materials and coaching site users
  • Support development of technical practices on inspection data management and integrity data management tools

About you:

You will have a 2-year Associate's degree or equivalent certification.

It would also be essential that you have:

  • Experience in refining, chemical or similar industry
  • Experience in Meridium system
  • Experience in inspection data management systems (IDMS)
  • Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, etc.) and their interfaces with IDMS

It would also be useful that you have:

  • Experience in equipment inspection/maintenance/reliability
  • Ability to coordinate project/work plans
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and gain consensus across multiple sites
