Job Description

Our ambition at Macmillan is to reach and improve the lives of everyone affected by cancer and inspire millions to do the same. We are the nurses, doctors and therapists helping people through treatment. The experts on the end of the phone. The advisers telling people which benefits they’re entitled to. The volunteers giving a hand with the everyday things. The campaigners improving cancer care. The fundraisers who make it all possible.

Our office in Shipley is home to a number of teams and you will be the first port of call for all visitors, both internal and external, as well as for Facilities queries from staff members at all levels. A friendly, helpful and "can do" approach is therefore essential.

In the role, you will carry out a broad range of administrative duties to a high standard, covering everything from meeting and greeting visitors and booking travel to handling in-coming and out-going mail, ordering stationery and updating databases. You’ll be making a key contribution to the smooth running of the office as well as helping the team to deliver an unrivalled experience for all our customers.

To be successful in the role, it’s essential that you have previous experience of wide ranging administration work and of working in an office as part of a team. You’ll have a good knowledge of a range of IT systems and also office systems and procedures. It is essential that you have a keen eye for detail and produce work to a high level of accuracy. You’ll also be used to managing your own workload.

In return for your commitment to our team, we commit to actively developing you and offer excellent benefits.

Hours of work are 13.5 hours per week normally worked between 9.00 am – 5.00 pm Wednesdays and 9.00 am - 4:30 pm Fridays.
