Operations Manager – International Scholars Program (ISP)

Description

Purpose: elp set-up all operational aspects of the ISP (Otherwise known internally as ASU On Ramp Program) and ensure smooth operations throughout the life of the program.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Oversee all Logistics and operational aspects of the program
  • Provide supervision for all program facilitation and classroom operations
  • Oversee the execution of all learner services provided
  • Act as a liaison with ASU Academic and Admissions partners looking after the program
  • For the pilot launch of the program, also provide on the ground (In class and out of class) facilitation for the program
  • Ensuring learner satisfaction and academic integrity for the program

Specific Duties include initially executing and then supervising the following tasks:

  • Successfully transition students from registration (paid application) to enrollment
  • Execute the Pearson student success plan which includes both proactive student check-ins and prescribed interventions for those who have been flagged as at-risk
  • Take primary responsibility for retaining students through to completion via monitoring, delivery of support services and creative interventions for those who struggle to engage
  • Facilitate orientation and a variety of meeting types throughout the program to include both live and asynchronous virtual sessions and/or in-person sessions at a Pearson learning center
  • Train subject matter experts on protocols for leading successful virtual meetings
  • Coordinate onsite meetings as defined in course syllabi
  • Respond to student inquiries within 1 business day
  • Collaborate with the Local Instructional Facilitator to escalate student issues to the appropriate internal resource as needed (e.g. tutoring, tech support or pastoral care)
  • Manage all student communication and course completion data via the Salesforce CRM
  • Coordinate deployment and data transfer of all program surveys to the appropriate analyst for processing
  • Recommend improvements to the student experience and the Pearson student success plan
  • Develop (Or facilitate the on boarding of external help when needed) mastery on all learning outcomes for the ASU courses being taught each semester to be able to provide local academic support
  • Facilitate course-related sessions throughout the program to include both in-person classes at a Pearson learning center and asynchronous virtual sessions on the Learning Management System.
  • Coach students on developing the study and non-cognitive skills required to ensure progression both within and through their courses

Qualifications

  • Minim of 5 years experience working with students transitioning to college
  • Min. 2 years experience in educational services operations in a supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Advanced skills of English
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Care about deadlines
  • Outstanding business communication and interpersonal abilities.
