You will be the primary contact for some critical services that directly affect the daily lives of UK citizens, such as our Central Payments system, paying over £100bn of payments every year or our VME-R environment that hosts systems such as Disability Living Allowance, Pensions and War Pensions

You'll be working in the DBA Engineering & QA Practice alongside a team of specialists in Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB and SQL Server.
Your role will involve providing Production Operations Application DBA support for Oracle Environments including monitoring and tuning, backup and recovery, patching, database sizing/capacity management, problem determination and resolution and technical documentation.
Our team provides 24x7 on call cover on a rota basis and the successful candidate would be expected to join the rota.
