Pearson Learning Services Channel ecosystem of Reseller and Solution Partners are growing and we are adding new Partners each year. We are seeking a Partner Channel Program Manager who will report to the Director, Service Excellence and be responsible for driving the creation, execution, and management of a portfolio of programs and initiatives for Partners (Staff Augmentation, Integrators, & Reseller) in the Americas regions. These programs are responsible to help build a robust ecosystem of Partners that will help solution, sell, and service Pearson Learning Services products and solutions to customers.

This individual will be responsible for working with business segments and regional field organizations to help develop & enable the partner channel program strategy while orchestrating operational requirements. The Partner Channel Program Manager would include management of programs such as Demand Generation, Recruitment, Development, & Enablement activities / Events. Fiscal responsibility for program utilization and forecasting is a requirement. You want to build a program that has channel partners delighting customers, while focusing on license adoption and sales.

More about you

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • A solid understanding of Channel Partner business models and what roles Partners can play to help solution, sell, and add services with Pearson Learning Services products.
  • Be able to design programs for external Channel Partners and internal stakeholders to drive a motivational behavior using requirements and rewards.
  • Jump in front of an audience of external Channel Partners and show them why our program is the best.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, financial/analytical and interpersonal skills. The role requires a proven track record in messaging/positioning, program management, and broad execution capabilities. A requirement is to motivate, leverage, and manage internal teams on a project basis in order to accomplish the program strategy.
  • A process, project, and programs guru who is highly organized, analytical, data driven, and like to put together business plans to support program decisions.
  • You have a really good playbook, but also are open to learning how to be successful in Pearson Learning Services unique business model. You have managed cross-functional organizations and developed programs that have elements of on-boarding, certification, and marketing.
  • Partner Incentive program management and budget management would be a plus
  • Portal management and marketing automation to best utilize automation to scale communications
  • You have utilized an omni-channel communications approach to scale content to Partners including portals, social, email, etc. Dashboards, reports and charts are how you like to communicate and inform your team on progress and initiatives.

Specifically, your responsibilities will be

  • continue to grow and develop the already identified partnerships, executing on their agreed upon GTM commitments throughout The Americas.
  • identify and recruit new and meaningful partners through our Distribution Channel to support the Pearson Learning Services Sales/Services teams.
  • work with the relevant teams to develop and continue to grow the current enablement and training programs based on existing Pearson Learning Services content.
  • working with the corporate teams to proactively gall full details of program - description, level, target partner types.
  • conduct a regular cadence of reviews of the performance of partners, both internally and with the partners.
  • contribute to Pearson Learning Services team sales/services goals, customer success, and marketing plans by leveraging these partners.
  • provide feedback to the corporate teams on training, delivery method and processes.
  • working with the corporate teams to secure funding and allocate that funding across partners. Ensure funding is being spent.
  • updating all guides and communications with relevant information on the program and positioning it in the all up readiness program overview.
  • supporting partners to execute according to the plan submitted to the corporate teams, upon which funding is based.
  • closing open questions with the corporate teams on any part of the program.
  • budgeting - creating IOs/POs where necessary, accruals, invoice approval, driving spending according to forecast etc.

Managing reporting to show performance for the region - including:

Working with corp and regional teams to ensure complete reporting of all training programs

Escalating issues with reporting to corp teams to ensure a quick fix

Working actively with partners to ensure reporting is done in a timely manner

Qualifications

Your experience and our Capability Requirements

  • BA/BS in Marketing or Sales or Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years working in partner management at a B2B company (Software, IT, or related Tech industry preferred).
  • Consistent track record of developing, managing and executing partner channel programs and partner enablement that exceed targets
  • Demonstrating different approaches to partner management including ‘to’, ‘through’ and ‘for’ partners
  • A history of collaboration with cross-functional teams (marketing, product management, customer success, services, and direct sales).
  • Understanding of sales/services organizations and partner ecosystems, and how they must work together
  • Channel budgeting and incentive program structures (e.g. co-op, rebates) and best practices for their implementation
  • Demonstrated experience working with partner marketing technologies (e.g. Salesforce.com Partner Community, Pardot, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with strong organizational and project management
  • Familiar working with and managing external agencies and suppliers
  • Research and select appropriate agencies to ensure successful and timely project completion
  • This is a full time position, working across multiple time zones
  • Ability to build, execute and lead strategy in a cross-functional, fast-moving environment
  • Experience working with foreign cultures and business practices would be beneficial
  • Up to 25% travel for partner QBRs, presentations, training, and events
