This is an exciting opportunity to join the PALS and Patient Engagement Team, which is committed to developing St Andrew's approach to support patients and service users to lead the way, not just in their own support but also in in the work of the charity, and facilitate a shared understanding/ethos that patient and service user engagement is everyone’s responsibility.

The role
 
The Patient Engagement Adviser will support the growth and development of patient engagement, consultation and co-production across St Andrew’s, which bring about changes to services, to organisational culture and to individual lives.  They will increase engagement and co-production by developing and facilitating opportunities for patients to meaningfully influence and participate service design, governance, recruitment, training and other patient-led initiatives internally and externally.
The individual will be highly motivated with excellent communication skills and experience of people participation, engaging easily and creatively with patients with mental health difficulties and ensuring communication needs of all patients and service users are acknowledged and represented. A passion to put the patient voice first, and ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders is essential.
