Job Description

This is a senior leadership role that requires the post holder to develop and lead our approach to operational performance management, assessment and review, providing insight and recommendations for strategy, policy and operational delivery. The role offers significant opportunity to influence, have impact and enact change at a senior level as well as to closely support our tactical delivery.
Some of the key things the post holder will do are:-

• Supervise and review the development of key performance products and deliverables, running relevant project and development work as required developing supporting information flows, systems and infrastructure

• Develop and deliver standardised policies and procedures for the handling, assessment and dissemination of performance-related products

• Oversee the monitoring and review of the Directorate’s performance against key measures of success as agreed with the Directors Group and Board and work with the team to identify and exploit relevant performance information and data sources


• Ability to work with others tactically and strategically to improve insight creating fit for purpose solutions utilising problem solving methodologies – making best use of resources according to demand.

• Experience in delivering excellent customer service at a senior level with proven experience of developing, leading and maintaining collaborative work processes that put the customer first

• Ability to influence decision making using a combination of knowledge, expertise and data

• Maintaining a professional approach when presented with a challenging discussion /interview by using techniques to understand need(s); manage expectations and provide a constructive and proportionate outcome. Be solution focused and incorporate the art of the possible.

• Skilled in project and programme management techniques and applications

• Experience of developing operational performance measures, service standards and business plans in collaboration with senior leaders

• Demonstrable experience of being involved across a range of business practices at a senior leadership level with excellent understanding of workflow management and demand modelling
