PhD Academy Assistant
Salary from £25,181 to £28,304 pa with potential to progress to £30,451 pa inclusive of London Allowance
The PhD Academy offers centralised services, social space and advanced training to the School’s 900 doctoral students. It also hosts the LSE’s ESRC Doctoral Training Centre. The Academy is looking to appoint a PhD Academy Assistant to support senior colleagues in support of events, research council activities and communications for PhD students. This involves working on web pages, social media communications, Moodle and booking systems to support the Academy Team in delivering its student-facing activities to doctoral students. The role will also involve occasional support for the team in delivery of its other activities, including administration of processes around registration and examination.
You must have a good educational background and sound IT skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases. You will have previous work experience in an administrative capacity, preferably within the Higher Education sector. Good communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as this role will involve working with a variety of students, faculty and staff. You should possess a high attention to detail and be able to organise and prioritise your own work.
