Physical Healthcare Assistant

Physical Healthcare Team, Quality and Governance Directorate, Northampton
Salary: £19,891 - £24,718 per annum pro rata, inclusive of unregistered clinical allowance
Hours: Part-time, 25.00 hours per week, Monday – Friday 08:00 – 13:00 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Physical Healthcare Assistant to support Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses in the delivery of physical healthcare.

The post holder will have skills in ECG and venepuncture and will be required to support senior clinicians in the delivery of physical healthcare, together with demonstrating and promoting skills to staff as appropriate. There will be a requirement to provide advice on promotion and advocacy of good health and wellbeing. 

Good interpersonal skills with further exceedingly clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, a basic knowledge of IT and an ability to work flexibly, as part of a team, are essential criteria when providing care for patients with challenging behaviours.  Applicants must also be self-motivated and able to demonstrate the ability to provide high standards of care. 

Knowledge and experience of working with challenging patient groups would be an advantage as you will be a role model to your team, demonstrating a flexible, individual and person centred approach.  Safety and therapeutic engagement are key components of our care delivery focus and should be a key demonstrable interest and ability required for this role.
