Job Description

Our Credit Cards team continue to disrupt the Credit Card market - smashing targets, winning numerous industry awards and successfully building a credit card operation but we’re not resting our laurels. We’ve big growth plans and we can’t do this without a truly remarkable team of people to make it happen.

We’re seeking a Portfolio Loss Forecasting Manager to Drive and Develop the execution of credit and fraud loss forecasting analysis, modelling and reporting. You’ll lead a team responsible for credit and fraud impairment forecasting and take ownership for forecast integrity through oversight, challenge and documented governance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Apply experience to set the direction for development of credit loss and impairments forecasts.
  • Inform investment decisioning at a product, channel and risk level.
  • Build routines to ensure senior leadership and the broader business have insight from key impairment trends.
  • Nurture relationships with strategy, modelling and risk teams to enable build of informed impairment forecasts and strategies.
  • Act as a focal point within the team to ensure the Card & Travel business is informed of key macroeconomic changes and potential impacts.
  • Utilise experience to drive improvements in and actionable insights from stress testing.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience with bad debt forecasting and IFRS9 provision modelling, including the interaction between strategy and forecasting.
  • Existing experience in running complex, high risk processes to tight timeframes.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven focus on execution improvement and excellence.
  • Experience leading team of analysts and driving collaborative outcomes, ideally within unsecured financial services role.

Salary: Up to circa £65k depending on experience
