The objective of the role 

We are seeking an exceptional individual to serve as a Pre-Sales Engineer in our Digital Sales area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical and subject matter expertise in SUSE Technology, the supporting Eco System and will become a trusted partner adviser and advocate for SUSE. You will be part of a sales organisation but will remain, at the core, a technical expert who actively participates in the sales process. The ultimate goal of the Pre-Sales Engineer is to position the correct solution based on customer requirements and getting the technical win.

Focus Area 

  • Work with sales representatives to establish specific account plans and strategies aligned with the Go-To-Market
  • Analyse sales prospects, requirements and propose the best possible SUSE Solution
  • Create and deliver demonstrations, presentations, POV and map features/benefits of SUSE’s products to prospects’ specific needs 
  • Respond to the technical sections of RFI/RFPs
  • Provide product and solution feedback from customers
  • Communicate competitive intelligence from the field
  • Exchange best practices and share knowledge within Pre-Sales Community utilizing supplied mechanisms available in SUSE
  • Keep up to date with any new SUSE solutions and relevant technical knowledge
  • Participate in meetings and conferences with customers and partners, sales and other necessary departments

About You 

  • Highly motivated and success-oriented, driven for results 
  • A fast learner. We do not expect you to be an expert on day one as our dedicated training team will up-skill you quickly.
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Previous experience with presales, consultancy, technical support in the technology space 
  • Technical background, IT / computer focus. Tec savvy person
  • A college degree or a diploma is preferred, but not essential 
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word literate 
  • Analytical skills, project management skills
  • Business understanding, ability to understand customer’s needs, challenges and expectations
  • Willingness to travel (very occasional) and flexibility in working hours required (as per business needs)
