JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure the Pearson Product Information Systems and content is maintained efficiently by providing training and support to the business and IT with particular attention to policing financial approvals as publishing projects develop.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work with the business to offer guidance, training and help in the use of the system
  • Assist the business in its project preparation and management.
  • Monitor reports generated by Pearson systems of data transfers, and take action to rectify any ensuing issues.
  • Update Pearson systems to open new records on other company systems and initiate status changes.
  • Police the product data, with particular attention to financial stages throughout the product life cycle.
  • Run reports as required from Pearson systems.
  • System Administration: Maintaining title data and systems tables.
  • Development: Assist in the implementation and testing of new releases.

KEY REQUIREMENTS (Skills & Experience)

  • Well organised with an eye for detailand a systematic approach.
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to provide clear and detailed response to the business and interact with all levels of management.
  • Experience of working with computer systems together with Excel, Word etc.
