Working as part of a small team within UK Product Information this role will support the Price and Availability Manager. The role will involve working with Product Information as well as neighbouring teams in Production and Inventory, Customer Services, Sales teams, and global Pearson offices, and may have some direct contact with customers and third parties. The focus of the team is on Price and Availability across a wide spectrum of Pearson product types and covering all aspects of pricing, VAT, price promotions, discounts, sales embargoes, product availability etc, and supporting customers who use our data.

Key Responsibilities:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work in shared mailbox to respond to a wide range of queries from business users including ad hoc price updates, price clarifications, resolve VAT queries, apply/amend market restriction/sales embargoes, set up promotional discounts etc. Delegate to Admin Support where appropriate.
  • Perform data analysis to assist in investigating reported data issues, identify discrepancies, and support the process to find solutions and workarounds.
  • Carry out product-level data updates to systems, in line with policies and procedures, to improve data integrity, completeness, and timeliness, with a specific focus on pricing and market rights/refer embargoes. Data entry work will be a mixture of manual and data loader techniques.
  • Carry out established routine tasks as agreed with Line Manager to include supporting annual price review and year end price list maintenance tasks. Maintain robust records for audit purposes.
  • Assist in carrying out User Acceptance Testing of new developments when required, capturing evidence of tests carried out and maintaining precise records
  • Support InfoCentre Data recipients with their data queries. This may involve issuing invitations to new users or assisting new users when they are setting up their reports.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
