This position is a 6 month Term-of-project position with benefits

Pearson VUE is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to join our global marketing team in support of the go-to-market efforts for a strategic new offering. The project is term-based, with the potential to become permanent. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy and execution for the existing and new Pearson VUE suite of products and services.

Reporting to the Vice President of Global Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager will work collaboratively across product management, business development, and marketing and communications to develop, launch and manage the value propositions that allow us to maintain our leader position in the market.

This role will be responsible for gaining a deep understanding of our customer segments, market trends, and competitive forces. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable expertise in core areas of product marketing -- go-to-market strategy, product positioning & messaging, customer & competitive intelligence, and sales enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product positioning and value propositions that differentiate Pearson VUE in the market, and ensure our story is consistently told across channels.
  • Manage product releases and go-to-market strategies; effectively coordinate across internal teams to ensure go-to-market alignment and readiness.
  • Create various marketing communications assets to articulate the benefits of Pearson VUE products and features.
  • Market insights – understand our clients, their candidates, the competition, and wider marketplace.

Proven Abilities We’re Looking For

  • Experience launching products and services in a dynamic and competitive B-to-B marketplace.
  • A strategic thinker who can synthesize complex information and translate into simple and compelling deliverables.
  • Comfortable prioritizing and multi-tasking a diverse set of projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong project management skills, confidence in leading complex and cross-organizational projects.
  • Solid financial acumen and disciplined budget management.
  • Exceptional copywriting, editing, and communications skills.
  • Effective in building collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • High degree of integrity and solid work ethic that are in line with our core company values.

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing-related discipline.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in fast-paced product marketing positions with proven project management skills.
  • Expert understanding of go-to-market and commercialization steps.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with demonstrated creative, writing, and editing skills.
  • Strong business judgment and emotional intelligence.
