Job Description

The Operations and Scheduling team within Marketing Supply is an integral part of Fuels North America. Fuels North America leverages BP's refining, marketing and pipeline assets in order to optimize the supply chain from crude acquisition to product placement. The Product Scheduler plays a vital role in moving product out of refining and blending facilities, supplying BP sales demand, executing trading and asset strategies, and in executing overall supply chain processes.


The Product Scheduler is responsible for managing the movement of products via various modes of transportation. This may include managing the movement of gasoline, diesel, jet and/or ethanol via pipeline, rail, marine (barges/vessels), and/or t ransport truck. The successful candidate will be assigned a specific area based on the needs of the team.

This role will also be asked to perform numerous initiatives for the team. The initiatives will vary in size, length, and functions, where the product scheduler will be challenged to identify efficiencies or continuous improvements.
 

  • Act as the primary interface for their area of responsibility with supply coordinators, origin schedulers, demand analysts, internal and external terminal personnel, and internal and external transportation service providers.
  • Manage product supply/demand balances for their area of responsibility.
  • Supplying BP sales demand.
  • Executing overall supply chain processes, trading and asset strategies.
  • Delivering reliable supply while at the same time minimizing working capital and maximizing commercial delivery.
  • Responsible for managing the movement of products via various modes of transportation. This may include managing the movement of gasoline, diesel, jet and/or ethanol via pipeline, rail, marine (barges/vessels), and/or transport truck.
  • Ability to lead initiatives from define to execution.



Bachelor's degree is required

  • 2 years of work experience in a related field
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills leading to effective decision making
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and complete multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
