Position Title: Product Specialist


Position Type: Permanent

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities: 

  • Developing detailed functional product specifications, based on business and user requirements, to support the timely and effective delivery and release of a new generation of global legal know-how and workflow products.
  • Support product design, build, testing (functional and QA), sales, marketing and release, including the initial launch in 2018 and subsequent releases of functionality to the market.
  • Support the analysis of business and user requirements, and the prioritisation of product features to meet identified needs.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in the UK and Ireland Legal business of Thomson Reuters, and the wider global product development team dedicated to the project to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery of the constituent components of the product proposition, and the wider product itself.
  • Work collaboratively with a global product development and technology team in the creation of the product.
  • Support the development of the product through beta testing with customers, initial launch and subsequent releases.
  • Support the effective deployment of the product as an effective, distinct and valuable component of the overall portfolio of products provided by the Thomson Reuters Legal business.

 

Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to understand and apply technology to product development
  • Proficiency in functional requirement writing
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex problems and solutions
  • Strong verbal skills, with competency in collaboration. Superior written skills with a focus on attention to detail

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in bringing new products to market
  • Experience of legal practice
  • Experience of legal know-how products or know-how or task management products aimed at the professional services market.

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree required
