The Production and Inventory Planner provides the daily production schedule for the BP Castrol Blending Plant.

Job Description

You will optimize productivity and efficiency for all package lines and drum fill to cover demand and maintain stock inventory levels. You will collaborate with the production, process, shipping, procurement, and lab teams to ensure that the site is meeting all safety, quality, and production goals.

  • Review Customer Demand daily and validate orders can be shipped “On time, In Full” with production schedule, inventory moves within site over flow warehouses, or other plant inventory moves for Port Allen Produced SKUs. Communicate with customer care and corporate planning if demand can’t be covered.
  • Prepare Production schedule based on inventory needs, efficient fluid or pack size transitions, swing tank optimization, minimum blend size, minimum run size, insourced bulk fluid availability, downtime (i.e. cycle count, training, or holiday), warehouse utilization, stock levels, sales forecast, customer promos, and available man power. Coordinate with all areas when OT is needed or weekend work is required to execute schedule. Collaborate production downtime with maintenance to allow PM work.
  • Update/maintain Target inventory levels thru PIP report to support “Working Capital” KPIs.
  • Daily Communication with corporate planning & procurement, and suppliers to ensure timely production and delivery of bulk raw materials or insourced Bulk fluids to execute schedule.
  • Support inventory levels for packaging raw materials (caps, cartons, pallets, drums, totes, bottles, labels, in-source bulk fluid) by coordinating, expediting, and driving delivery to ensure raw material availability with procurement, corporate planning, and suppliers.
  • Update/maintain Target inventory levels thru PIP report to support “Working Capital” KPIs.

  • Support inventory levels for packaging raw materials (caps, cartons, pallets, drums, totes, bottles, labels, in-source bulk fluid) by coordinating, expediting, and driving delivery to ensure raw material availability with procurement, corporate planning, and suppliers.
  • Support BTR Plant operations to ensure safe, responsible, reliable, and efficient performance.Model quality and safety leadership through active engagement of the plant Planning/Warehouse & Distribution Teams.

 

Bachelor degree in Business or Supply Change Management

 

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a Planning role.
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be organized, goal oriented, and self-directed.
  • Ability to work cross functionally
  • Must possess problem solving skills to react to challenges as presented.
