Role Summary: To lead Professional and Consulting Services teams to ensure provision of the best implementation and support for our information and selected productized solutions offerings in a profitable manner. Create and implement tools, processes and working practices to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of staff, and to enable staff to deliver best in class service in a profitable manner. Key contributor to global operating strategy.

Digita provides a full integrated suite of best of breed software for accountants and tax practitioners spanning desktop, mobile and the web and is used by over 5,000 accountants. Built around a central database of client and contact information, the Digita Professional Suite doesn't just link accounts and tax software; it provides an intuitive environment for client maintenance, tax and accounts compliance, contact management, letter writing, marketing and forms production. Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities: 

  • Responsible for ensuring business objectives and budget are met, whilst driving up service and execution performance and quality.
  • Responsible for service performance, and ongoing (measurable) improvements and efficiencies.
  • Build, develop and lead a highly effective and motivated work force with clearly defined mission and aligned objectives
  • Provide senior management engagement into associated customer segments and product teams to ensure transparency, buy-in and help to identify and address areas of concern.
  • Ensure that tactical decisions / solutions account for and influence broader strategic direction.
  • Ensure client documentation, and appropriate manuals, processes and procedures are updated regularly.
  • Ensure operational requirements, standards and best practices are factored into plans.
  • Lead/contribute to ongoing refinement and development of operational requirements and standards, and champion adoption of industry best practices as required.
  • Determine key projects / activities and provide management bandwidth within the organization.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Interface with third parties

Qualifications

Technical /Professional Skills & Competencies:

  • Track record in the establishment of robust systems & processes for professional services and all aspects of post sale, including client training, data migration, year 1 experience & consulting
  • Experience in senior professional services management position
  • Extensive experience in delivering complex technology solutions.
  • Large scale operations, technical support or program management experience
  • Proven experience in building, developing and leading high performance teams

 

Essential Skills and Experience: 

  • Superior ability to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work with virtual teams to successfully deliver projects or resolutions to escalations
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the financial information industry and associated technologies
  • Accustomed to working under pressure in a demanding environment
  • Independent worker with superior time management and escalation skills
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills

 

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • Expert level knowledge of assigned technologies and products
  • Expert knowledge in key areas of responsibility e.g. operating systems, networking technologies, security standards
  • Experience with remote access tools and methods e.g. WebEx
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent problem management, troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of internal systems and processes

 

Education/ Certifications: 

  • Preferably advanced degree in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
