Job Description

 

This is a fixed term appointment for 18 months

 

The Department of Methodology at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in social science research methodology. The Department coordinates and provides a focus for methodological activities at the School, in particular in the areas of graduate student and staff training and of methodological research.

 

The Department is seeking to appoint a highly committed and motivated Programmes and Teaching Operations Manager to lead on the administration of the department’s MSc programmes and teaching.

 

Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the MSc programmes and student experience, from admission to graduation. You will manage a small team responsible for the delivery of course and assessment administration, programme management and student engagement and will work closely with key academic and professional services staff to proactively develop the programmes, student experience and learning community.

 

You should possess substantial relevant experience within the Higher Education sector. You will also have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work under your own initiative as well as within a team, and sound IT skills. A proven ability to plan, prioritise and manage a demanding and varied workload, and meet concurrent deadlines is also required.
