International Relations has been taught at LSE since 1924. The Department, was set up three years later, and was not only the first of its kind, but has remained a leading world centre for the development of the subject ever since. The post holder will join a team of administrators who are responsible for delivering the taught programmes within the Department.
The post holder has lead administrative responsibility for day-to-day matters relating to current and prospective students on programmes in the Department of International Relations and acts as the primary point of contact for students and staff.
Key tasks include;
Candidates should have experience of working in an academic or similar environment in an administrative capacity; be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing a consistently high quality service to key stakeholders; have experience of participating in and making a positive contribution to a team; and of solving everyday problems and thinking creatively, including recognising when a problem should be referred to others
