As a key contributor to the property data function within the Corporate Property Surveying team, you will support the capture and maintenance of an accurate record of our property portfolio. You will:
· Collate, analyse and report a broad array of property information and data. You will source many of these details yourself, and you will also develop the required processes to maintain and report estates information.
· Manipulate data to inform rent reviews, lease breaks, asset valuations, property management activity, business rates mitigation, commercial property acquisitions and disposals and influence policy development.
· Work with a wide variety of stakeholders such as the Cabinet Office, Homes England and the Office of Government Property. You will also engage with external professional advisors such as Chartered Surveyors and property lawyers.
· Maintain and manage property records. This will include information that is held in the central government database. From this data, you will construct bespoke reports and run regular core management reports.
This is a unique opportunity to join a well-respected team that turns its hand to a broad array of challenges. With your work impacting on anything from depots and warehouses to fish traps and sluices, you will need to have a good understanding of property and the resulting use of property information and data. Coming from a background in which you analysed data and compiled comparative data reports, you will have a good understanding of audit principals. It would also be desirable if you have experience of developing processes and systems, with knowledge of compiling information for property performance benchmarking. Crucially, you will have a degree-level education, plus excellent communication, report-writing and collaborating skills. Working at pace, you will be a self-sufficient individual with a willingness to expand your knowledge and travel to colleagues in England, Wales and Scotland.
