You will be a part of the award winning Commercial Real Estate team which is creating waves in the market as we continue to grow and establish a very strong portfolio or clients across the country.

As a Property Development Manager you will be expected to source and progress property development loan applications through to completion and manage all aspects of broker and case pipelines.  You’ll also manage all aspects of broker and case pipelines, making recommendations that help to grow the lending book in line with business strategy. 

That includes making quality determinations in terms of risk, completing extensive due diligence and overseeing drawdown, all while developing good working relationships with borrowers and brokers. You’ll also have the opportunity to represent the bank at events and help to prepare new product proposals as needed.

You will report into the Head of Development & Specialist Property, who will be your line manager and responsible for things like performance review meetings, 1-1s and development conversations.

What would your day look like?

Delivery of quality, risk based determination of credit risk – maximising the marginal return of new business lending balanced with the risk presented.
Complete extensive due diligence on Property Development applications adopting a host of credit assessment skills to recommend the basis on which risk is taken.
Oversee, in conjunction with support staff, the drawdown process to ensure offered facilities are drawn as smoothly and quickly as possible
Development of broker and borrower relationships to ensure a strong flow of new business proposals
To achieve set individual targets in a variety of areas and to contribute towards the overall performance of the Property Development business.
Ensure that market, sector and Regulatory knowledge is continuously developed and maintained

What do we expect of you?

Experience within the Property Development finance sector
A good understanding of general Banking credit processes
Proven ability to extract key financial information for individuals, partnerships and companies
Ability to work on own initiative as role is predominantly home based
Ability to travel nationally
High level of communication skills
Able to work in a target driven environment
Ability to develop strong relationships with customers, brokers and other professional partners
