About the role

The Property Portfolio Director (UK, EMEA & APAC) will be responsible for the proactive management of the corporate real estate portfolio across UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific, leading all acquisition / disposition transactions as well as the design and execution of location strategies.

This role is a part of a global team covering all of Pearson’s markets and will work closely with business stakeholders and will manage 3rdparty real estate professionals.

What you will be doing

Understand and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the physical locations, financial structure, commitments and performance of the Pearson property portfolio.

Collaborate across company geographies and manage internal stakeholders to formulate project strategy and drive towards related approvals.

Understand and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the key market drivers in all key UK, EMEA & APAC locations including market options, trends, local market conditions and opportunities to enhance financial and operational performance.

Appoint and direct the professional resources for all UK, EMEA & Asia Pacific acquisition and disposition transactions.

Provide support (as required) to the Pearson M&A team for its business acquisitions and dispositions program

Qualifications

Experience / Qualifications

Extensive, international property portfolio management experience including the appointment and management of 3rdparty professional resources and financing principles gained from either a consultancy or a client side role.

Specific real estate transactions management experience and knowledge of current market trends across UK, EMEA & Asia Pacific is essential as is a strong understanding of and experience in implementing commercial real estate fundamentals.

Proven experience in designing and presenting feasibility studies, options analysis, financial opportunity reports and designing and drafting location strategy proposal documents and business cases at Executive / Board level.

Proven experience in negotiation and completion of successful real estate transactions that add value to the assets under management and/or make better use of allocated capital.

Effective team player who thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment to meet critical deadlines with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will be able to think creatively, critically and proactively, even when under time-pressure.

Bachelor’s degree qualified (or equivalent) and/or relevant post-graduate or professional real estate qualification.
