We are looking for a skilled and experienced public affairs professional to manage Macmillan’s expert Public Affairs Team and our work to secure the political and policy change needed to improve the lives of people living with cancer.
Reporting to the Head of Campaigns and Public Affairs, you will develop and deliver public affairs plans to build Macmillan’s profile and reputation amongst decision makers and strategies to secure political change.
You will have an excellent understanding of parliamentary procedure and how Government policy and legislation are developed. An understanding of the contexts, structures, and levers for influencing in health, care and other areas relevant to the cancer experience would be a distinct advantage.
You will be an excellent communicator, with excellent political judgment and strong analytical skills. You will have a strong track record of working across multiple teams to deliver results and the leadership skills to develop, manage and motivate a high performing team.
