We are currently looking to recruit a G3 Quality and Performance Manager to join our Quality Management Team (QMT) based in Tamworth. 

Forensic regulation is a high priority for the NCA. A Forensics QMT is an essential part of the Quality Management System (QMS) established in order to achieve the standards of regulation and accreditation as mandated by the UK Forensic Science Regulator (FSR).

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding area of Forensics that provides reassurance to the Criminal Justice System in respect of the forensic processes employed by the NCA. 

We are seeking candidates who are 

Experienced in the implementation, management and maintenance of Quality Management Systems, specifically in the field of ISO 17025 and/or ISO17020. Ideally, you will have experience of these standards in relation to Forensic disciplines. You will be a certified lead auditor in ISO 17025 and also hold a Project Management qualification. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • The successful candidate will manage and maintain the continuous improvement, governance and assurance function within the Forensic Services Department by developing and managing the QMS ensuring compliance to all appropriate international standards in accordance with the UK FSR’s Codes of Practice and Conduct. 
  • You will support and manage transformational change across the Agency, examining business areas affected by change and working with stakeholders to embed change whilst mitigating risks. 


To be considered, you will need to be able to successfully complete SC Enhanced clearance upon entry. 

You may also be required to undertake a mandatory pre-employment substance misuse test and achieve a satisfactory result. 


Essential Criteria

  • Certified Lead Auditor in ISO17025 (CQI or IRCA approved) 
  • Project Management (Prince 2 or equivalent)

You will be required to supply evidence of: 

  • Proven experience of managing a Quality Management function within a multisite/matrix management structure.
