Salary: From £16,486 per annum plus Special Duty Pay
Hours: 37.5 per week
Our Brain Injury Integrated Practice Unit (IPU) offers specialist services for the assessment, stabilisation and intensive therapy for patients, whose behavioural presentation and/or cognitive function has deteriorated as a result of Brain injury.
The Brain Injury IPU provides care and treatment for patients within safe environments within a pathway from locked admission wards through to community based living. The care and treatment offered is recognised for being at the forefront of innovative service developments, for its excellence in service delivery and for its ability to manage and reduce the risks associated with Brain Injury.
The Brain Injury, Rehabilitation and Care IPU also offers an excellent opportunity to deliver value-based healthcare focusing on clinical outcomes. The IPU is focusing on using up-to-date data on outcomes to continually adapt care to best meet every patient’s needs.

Your role with us
Rehabilitation Assistants work in all areas of our Clinical Services, supporting staff teams in delivering and focusing on our Patients and their rehabilitation, daily activities and care. The role can be quite active and we would therefore require you to be able to cope with the demands of an active post.
Applications are welcomed from well-motivated individuals who are flexible, able to demonstrate high standards of care and who possess excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside good IT literacy. You will need to have resilience to work in a secure healthcare setting and this will help you meet the challenges and expectations of working as a Healthcare Assistant.
